The $13 Million Helen Keller Park Remediation project resulted from the discovery of buried construction debris containing lead and asbestos. The scope of work included demolition of existing park amenities and environmental site remediation. General improvements included a new parking lot, new playground and exercise equipment, and a new baseball field. Multiple bio-filtration basins were constructed along with irrigation for the replaced landscaping. The project also included a new 4,000 SF community center with a computer training room, a multi-purpose room, and a community room with an adjacent catering kitchen.
